Yester House
Set within the East Lothian countryside, Yester House is a remarkable 18th century Palladian mansion whose story spans more than three centuries. When owners Nicola and Garreth Wood took stewardship of the estate, they saw beyond its scale and grandeur to something more meaningful: the opportunity to return life, warmth and relevance to an extraordinary family home.
The restoration balanced deep respect for the building’s architectural heritage with a desire to create spaces that felt inviting, personal and lived in.

Nicola Wood worked closely with the creative team over several years, developing a layered interior language that responded to the scale of the house while remaining deeply personal. The collaborative process evolved through ongoing conversations, ideas and exploration, allowing each room to develop its own identity while remaining part of a coherent whole.
